We stayed at the Farmer's Guest House for our family vacation in Iceland. The owner was incredibly friendly and communicative, even checking in with us before our arrival. The house had everything we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen. The farm atmosphere was unique and charming, and the owner even showed us his majestic Icelandic horses. The house was tastefully decorated and had beautiful views from every room. We loved our authentic local stay and would definitely return if we come back to Iceland.
We do recommend this hotel.

We stayed at Farmer's Guest House for 4 nights while exploring the south of Iceland. The staff was incredibly friendly and the view from our room was magnificent. Our kids had a great time playing with the dog and cat, and we enjoyed the short walk to see the horses every morning. The location was perfect for exploring the major highlights of south Iceland and there was a nearby gas station for convenience. The room itself was clean and well equipped, making our stay very comfortable.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The value for money at this place was excellent! The room was spacious and well-equipped, with our own private shower room and even a TV with Netflix. The location was perfect for exploring the South of Iceland, and the owner was cute and helpful.
The hotel breakfast menu could use some improvement, perhaps by offering a wider variety of options.

I had the most very nice stay at a charming guesthouse in the heart of the countryside. The cottages were comfortable and had everything I needed, including a fully equipped kitchen. The views of the horses and sheep from the patio were amazing. The owner was nice and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable, even accommodating an additional guest without hesitation. The cabin was spacious, spotlessly clean, and beautifully equipped. I wish I could have stayed longer. I highly recommend this place for a local experience.

We had a wonderful stay at this traditional Icelandic house, hosted by a friendly and attentive gentleman who also happens to be the mayor of the Golden Circle area. He took the time to show us around and share the history of the house, which was his own family home for many years. The decor showcased marvelous pieces, some dating back over 150 years, creating a cozy and homey atmosphere. The fully equipped and spacious kitchen made cooking a breeze, and the clean and warm rooms offered beautiful views of the farm and horses. We highly recommend staying here for a unique and welcoming experience.
Can recommend this hotel.

The host was amazing, giving us a detailed history of the area and making us feel right at home. The location was perfect for exploring with a car, and we even had the opportunity to see the midnight sun outside of the hotel. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the rustic, cozy feel of the place added to its charm. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, and the rooms were comfortable and inviting. Highly recommended for large groups traveling together.
The only minor issue we had was with the size and cleanliness of the toilet. It could have been bigger and cleaner, but it wasn't a major problem.

I had the most very nice stay at a charming farmhouse surrounded by amazing views and fresh country air. The living room and kitchen windows offered a picture-perfect vista, and I was even treated to the sight of beautiful rainbows in the morning. The house was well-equipped with modern facilities, including a washing and drying machine, kitchenware, and cooking accessories. The friendly staff made me feel welcome, despite a minor hiccup with the credit card machine. The highlight of my trip was meeting Valtyr, the owner, who regaled me with fascinating stories about his family history and the local area. The beds were comfortable, and I appreciated the warm and cozy sheets. The armchair in the living room was my favorite spot, adorned with furniture and items from Valtyr's family heritage. the book collection on Iceland provided a lovely aesthetic touch. Although I expected more animal noise and smell from a farm stay, I was kinda surprised to find it was not intrusive. Valtyr's invaluable advice for my Landmannagur excursion enhanced my trip. I highly recommend this amazing guest house for a nice experience.
